Quantitative Analysts/Traders

At Weiss Asset Management “WAM” we believe our employees are our greatest resource. WAM has put together an extraordinarily intelligent, highly motivated, and technically skilled staff with no weak links. We are most proud of how well the employees work together as effective teams.

Our investment team is comprised of Quantitative Analysts/Traders. They are a group of high achievers, whose academic backgrounds include economics, engineering, astrophysics, mathematics, theoretical physics, political science, computer science and law. Many of our investment professionals have degrees in two or more of these fields, and have earned graduate degrees from leading universities including Stanford, Caltech, MIT, and Harvard. The structure at WAM is unique. It is a pure meritocracy. Each employee has responsibilities according to his ability, drive, and ability to motivate team members rather than tenure. We select people who are not only extraordinarily talented, but also self motivated and who work well in a team setting. Currently no one, including the company President, has a private office. Everyone, including the President of the company, is immediately accessible to all employees.

Investment team members take their projects from start to finish. They are responsible for the quantitative analysis as well as the trading for his or her project.
